NOTICEBOARD
We recently received information from a concerned person who purchased a Boker Tactical folder from a well-known online auction site. The knife proved to be a very poor quality imitation which, we believe, was made in Japan or Taiwan. Overall the knife is badly manufactured with - we suspect - a blade made from low grade carbon steel that is incorrectly fitted to the frame, thus causing the blade to remain loose. The markings on the blade are also false and poorly applied (see photos below).
Apparently these copies are slowly finding their way into the market place and are sold at a much cheaper price than the original Bokers. In addition, the fact that the fakes have no official warranty either makes them rather dubious.
ALL GENUINE BOKER KNIVES COME WITH A LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY - NO MATTER WHERE YOU BUY THEM - so, if the knife looks suspicious, then it's Buyer Beware.

Please note that the pictures above show a 'wannabee' Boker Tactical folder.
Authentic Boker Tactical folders are made under the brand BOKER PLUS not 'Boker Tree Brand' as the printing on the blade suggests. Additionally, the words your knife made in Solingen never, ever appear on a genuine Boker blade. Also, the 440C stainless steel stamp is missing from the ricasso end of the blade. The above blade markings are used only on Boker stationery and have been photographed from the heading of a standard Boker letterhead. From there it has been photo-engraved onto the blade. This a blatant breach of the International Copyright and Trademark laws. Legal action has been initiated against the person responsible for selling these knives.
