Condor Knife Range
The Condor range of knives, designed by world renowned award winning knife maker and designer Arlan D. Lothe, are innovative, tough, practical and offer tremendous value for money.
The heat-treated blades are made from 420 High Carbon surgical-quality Stainless Steel and hardened to approximately 53 Rockwell and then hand polished to razor sharpness. The knives also feature a stylised ‘Eye of the Condor’ stamped through the blade. Legend has it that “ if one travels through life under the eye of the Condor, they will be safe, sound and victorious in battle”.
The moulded ‘Poszegrip’ handle is oval-shaped to better fill the hand, features a full tang construction and is made from special Santoprene for strength and just the right amount of softness to provide a true cushioned grip. It also has a special texture and live rubber inserts to increase its non-slip properties. A metal lanyard eyelet passes through both the handle and tang for added strength.
The special Condor light blue colour was selected for some models not only to make the handles distinctive, but to also help one locate the knife if it is mislaid, particularly in the field. All our Condor knives are supplied with heavy duty, hand-crafted black leather sheaths.
With the exception of the smaller Jungle Bowie II, all the other Jungle Bowies feature sheaths with a swivel belt loop, which allows the knives to swing out of the way while moving through the bush or the jungle. The knives can also be easily repositioned when riding in a vehicle, rather than poking one in the side or back like a conventional fixed blade sheath.
Knives are packaged in either sealed blister packs or heavy duty factory cardboard boxes.
