It was during 1914 when Heinrich Boker & Co. Solingen received an order from the Government to develop and manufacture a compact fighting knife that would be especially useful for trench warfare. This they did and, thus began the history of one of the world’s best known combat knives of the early 20th Century.

After 90 years, Boker are reproducing the original knife blade from high-carbon steel with a 0.75% carbon content. The pronounced steel crossguard and the wood forearm handle are designed for a firm and safe grip, both these and the official tang stamp are identical to the original – as is the cow-hide leather sheath. Each knife is serial numbered on the back of the blade. Featuring a full width tang construction. Overall length is 255mm – Blade length 142mm.
